ACTIVITIES

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines the verb to forge in this way: "to make or produce something, especially with some difficulty." This is a great way to describe what Bayouca’s Forge program for teens is designed to do. Trips could include navigating wild rivers, summiting the peaks of some of the Adirondacks highest mountains or hiking deep into the wilderness carrying everything you need to survive for days on your back. These adventures have a level of challenge and difficulty, but they are designed to “make and produce” something in those who dare step out of their comfort zone and accept the challenge. The goal is for you to dive deep into your own heart and authentically discover who you are before God. Utilizing the 6 million acre classroom of New York’s Adirondack Park removes the comforts and distractions of our technologically saturated culture and opens the door to discovering truth and making life-changing decisions.
